I have been tossing around in my head exactly where to begin. I have come to the conclusion that the best place to begin is at the source.

Since we, as humans have been staying up past dark or surrounding ourselves with some sort of non-transparent surface, we have needed to have some sort of artificial light source or be able to control the sunlight into the space, as we are not designed to see in total darkness.
With each discovery, we have striven for more light, more control and better quality. As each resource diminishes or we discover a new source, one thing is clear we still believe we must heat an element to get illumination. Recent discoveries in semiconductor or LED technology would indicate otherwise. This is a next generation technology akin to the shift from typewriter to computer or tape to mp3. It is with great enthusiasm and trepidation that I hope to guide through the coming deluge of products. Some will be viable but most will be substandard and disappointing to say the least. It is my goal to provide the road markers along the way to a more efficient and greener future for us all.
